Main Role:
Responsible for on-going maintenance of the corporate office and retail stores. This
includes but is not limited to integrating cabling, servers, software, networks and security
solutions. Provide excellent internal customer service and help to raise productivity and
increase reliability. Managing application selection, configuration, testing, training and
deployment for all retail IT solutions.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Infrastructure
. Support the General Manager in developing an integrated IT infrastructure to
support the initial and growing need of the business
. Develop the overall IT infrastructure strategy and implementation roadmap based
on agreed business requirements
. Lead all testing of deployed technologies
. Manage and lead hardware supply (laptops, servers, storage, PDAs, printers,
peripherals, optical media, etc.)
. Set-up servers to meet business needs (mail server, file server, print server)
. Lead and develop integrated networking solutions (WAN, LAN, Video Conference,
VPN, Remote access)
. Develop VoIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) to help reduce telephony costs
. Provide equipment support and develop out-sourced partnerships (break-fix,
maintenance, system backups, disaster support, contract negotiation)
. Implement network security solutions help to minimize risks
. Meet ad-hoc IT infrastructure requests from internal colleagues
Applications
.Works with internal business functions on defining retail IT requirements to help
drive enterprise modeling, business modeling, data modeling, and application
development methodology
. Create and refine RFP requirements
. Select vendors and lead negotiation to introduce new retail business applications
. Work with 3rd party software vendors on leading the deployment, configuration,
integration and testing of key retail applications (e.g. Merchandise Execution,
Merchandise Planning, Demand Forecasting, Warehouse Management, ERP, POS,
CRM)
. Maintain and upgrade existing applications to support business needs
